    We Need Your Help!

Posted by: jovanni, almost 5 years ago.

We've been launched for a little over a week now, with much mirth and merriment. With the help of our friends, Andrew and I have been able to spread the word a little as to the fact that our site is open and ready for use. I want to thank our friends and family who have supported us.

A few days ago we went ahead and advertised on facebook. I created an ad with a certain diction and tone, while Andrew later created another ad with what he felt was the proper diction and tone; it was a friendly competition. Andrew stomped all over me in terms of clicks on our respective ads. Aside from that, we learned something; we realized that this site is going to be propagated not through ads, but rather through word of mouth, through testimonial, and through use.

If you're reading this, think of a few people whom may enjoy Pushudo.com and show it to them, or simply push something their way. If that seems too time consuming, there are a few other "easier" things that you can do to help:

    • When you receive a funny or interesting Pushudo, don't let it stop at your feet! Push it on to other people you know who'll enjoy it.

    • Get outside of your "push" routine. We all have our routine people to whom we always send Pushudos, I know I do. Instead, when pushing a link, try thinking of other people whom may also enjoy it, and push it to them as well.

Like I've said so often, the more stuff we send to others, the more cool stuff we'll get in return.

Also, we realize that you may have received an email notification from us linking to this article. This was a system wide Pushudo, something we promise to do VERY VERY sparingly. But if you don't want to receive these Pushudos from us again, we understand. You can unsubscribe by going to your relationship settings and setting the "pushudo" user to either "Add to my Inbox only" (you will continue to receive our system wide Pushudos but not through email), or to "block it" (which will make it so you never see a Pushudo from us again).

If you help us out, there will be cake...I just made a cake joke. That is so 2007, I am sorry.

    Pushudo.com is Live!

Posted by: jovanni, almost 5 years ago.

After nearly a year of arduous work, Pushudo.com is live! On behalf of Andrew, Ross and myself I want to welcome you to what we hope will become part of your everyday life. Pushudo.com and its parent company were built and founded with one fundamental ideal in mind; make the web easier. I believe that with this site we have accomplished that to a small degree, allowing you, your friends, your family and your colleagues to share web content easily and quickly.

It’s been a long road; beginning as an idea, that developed into a plan, that evolved into a product. There have been speed bumps; for example when our entrepreneurship professor refused to give us advice early on, when Google thought we were spammers and started sending our emails into people’s junk boxes, or the fact that Internet Explorer hates CSS. Yet, despite these trials we wholeheartedly believed in what we were doing, we truly believe that each keystroke, each mouse click and each action brought us closer to bringing you a quality product.

The question is what’s in it for you? If you’re anything like us, you like to surf the web; you enjoy a good video on YouTube, an interesting article on TheOnion, or a podcast by TWiT. Often times when we surf the web we find things we know someone would like to see too, but opening your email, copy/pasting the URL, typing the email address, typing a message, and sending just takes way too long, and you decide not to send the link after all. By using Pushudo.com, you can do this with three clicks of your mouse, sometimes even one! Plus, everything you send or receive is saved in your personal, customizable profile.

Now the more links or as we call them, Pushudos you send, the more likely you are to receive some in return. Everyday after checking my email, I come to Pushudo.com so I can check out what my friends have sent me, and I am never disappointed because who better to tailor what you see than those who are closest to you. If you want to send me a pushudo, you can send it to jovanni@pushudo.com.

We really hope you enjoy the site; this has been a labor of love for an idea and for an ideal. If you like it, tell your friends, and those who you think will find this useful.

Once again, on behalf of Andrew, Ross and myself, Welcome to Pushudo.com!
